July 1 Property Appraiser Office reports show slight upticks in property values for Sarasota County and municipalities

Highest increase for local governments is for Longboat Key

The value of property in unincorporated Sarasota County have climbed slightly from the June 1 data, as shown in the reports that state law required to be released by July 1, for use in the August Truth in Millage (TRIM) notices to property owners, The Sarasota News Leader has learned.

The July 1 figure for the county marks a 6% uptick, compared to the certified value from 2024, as shown in the materials that the News Leader received this week, at its request, from Brian Loughrey, chief deputy property appraiser, on behalf of Property Appraiser Bill Furst.
