VENICE — Last week, members of the Venice Area Historic Society spent quality time at Tito Gaona’s Trapeze Academy at the former site of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus Arena.
It is the location where The Greatest Show on Earth wintered from 1960 to 1992 and where, in 1971, it established Clown College.
It also is where Gaona was a Ringling star for about two decades and remains one of its best known residents…
