BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has released an incident report with updates regarding a house fire that killed a 4-year-old and seriously injured a woman in Bradenton on June 14.
According to the 35-page report, the fire that resulted in the death of 4-year-old Logan Jason Hajimihalis and the hospitalization of his 48-year-old mother, Tara Horsley, has been deemed accidental by a detective with the Bureau of Fire, Arson, and Explosives.
The report said the fire started around 12:44 p.m. and was caused by an “unattended citronella candle and/or a Dollar Tree Tiki Torch on the porch near combustibles.” Autopsy results indicate that Logan was found under a round wicker chair on a couch and died of smoke inhalation and thermal burns…
