SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – On Tuesday morning at Gerber Collision and Glass, a woman who has survived abuse and addiction was gifted a refurbished vehicle.
Her name is Carrie Ashby, and she has overcome many difficulties. She escaped a home of abuse when she was just 15. She struggled with drug addiction for 10 years and spent time in prison. But now she has been over six years sober, she has a full-time job and is a new homeowner.
But one thing she still needed was a car…
