Former Venice banker pleads guilty to embezzlement

VENICE — A former Venice bank employee pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to one count of theft or embezzlement by a bank employee and one count of making a false statement to an agency of the United States.

Jennifer Lamanna will be sentenced at a later date, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.
