SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Tampa set an all-time high on Sunday reaching 100 degrees for the first time ever in its history. The old mark was 99 degrees in 1985 and 2020. The highest heat index for Sarasota/Bradenton airport reached 111
degrees around 3 p.m. Monday afternoon. That is the highest heat index this year but not the highest ever.
