Man found lying in street dies after St. Pete shooting: police

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — An injured man found lying in the street following a shooting in St. Petersburg Tuesday night has died, police said.

It happened near a residential area on 9th Avenue South, according to a spokesperson for the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Officers said they received reports of shots fired, and while responding, found a 39-year-old man lying in the street by his car.
