Bradenton man faces aggravated manslaughter charge in father’s shooting death

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – A Bradenton man accused of accidentally shooting his father to death is facing upgraded charges and is awaiting his next hearing after a 24-hour continuance was granted July 30.

Court documents show Ian Douglas, 35, is now charged with aggravated manslaughter of an elderly person under Florida statute 782.07, a first-degree felony.
