Woman Faces Aggravated Assault Charge Following Disagreement Over Order
A dispute at a Tennessee Wingstop escalated dramatically last week when an employee allegedly threw hot cooking oil onto two customers, causing severe burns to one of the women.
Johnisa Herring, 25, Memphis, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident, which took place on July 22 at the Wingstop on Winchester Road. According to a complaint affidavit, Herring was working when two women arrived to pick up an order and became embroiled in an argument with her.
The confrontation took a violent turn when, while the patrons were “continuing to argue with Herring,” the employee went into the kitchen, filled a bowl with hot cooking oil, and allegedly threw it on the two women…
