Suspect in San Angelo arrest faces multiple felony charges following chaotic pursuit

SAN ANGELO, Texas — On Friday afternoon, Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call to assist Homeland Security Investigators to serve a warrant in the 2600 block of O’Bryan Lane in San Angelo.

The suspect, later identified as Meren Ed Thompson, 54, of Bradenton, Fla., was being sought by HSI and was found to be wanted on a Tom Green County felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
