336 speeders caught in Bradenton school zones during first week of school

BRADENTON, Fla. (SNN) — Just one week into the new school year, 336 drivers have already been caught speeding in Bradenton’s school zones — and police say it’s a clear sign that behavior needs to change.

According to the Bradenton Police Department, the violations were recorded by newly installed school zone cameras during school hours.

“No matter what you are comparing it to — we should have zero,” said department spokesperson Meredith Censullo. “Our goal for this program is to have zero speeders in school zones.”
