VENICE — After being sworn in Tuesday, City Manager James Clinch said the question he was asked most often during the selection process was whether he was sure he wanted the job.
Clinch, who grew up in Venice, said he answered the question one way then, “but now that I’m not going to get accused of sucking up, I’ll give you the real answer … I believe in the heart of service of our leadership.”
Being chosen to succeed Ed Lavallee was “truly humbling,” he said, adding that he’s “honored by the trust and responsibility placed on my shoulders.”…
