Developer building 500 home Central Parc community sues North Port

NORTH PORT — Sabal Trace ownership, currently developing Central Parc at North Port, is suing the city as they have issues with a bridge agreement.

The developer wants the agreement terminated due to increases in costs to build it. The bridge would stretch over the Cocoplum Waterway. Commissioners previously unanimously agreed the bridge should still be built.

Central Parc is a new residential development between Greenwood Avenue — near Dallas White Park and Appomattox Drive. It will contain 500 homes, an amenity area that may include assisted-living units, and 20 acres of commercial and retail space across a 207.5-acre parcel…
