School zone cameras are doing their job, police tell city commissioners

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Sarasota Police Department presented its annual report for the School Zone Safety Program, saying people are getting the message to slow down.

Police told the City Commission Monday that since the cameras went into operation, the number of citations in school zones are down 60% citywide.
