A Sarasota woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license after being stopped twice in 30 minutes.
A deputy observed 68-year-old Mirna Murillo driving a white Acura northbound on Buena Vista Boulevard at County Road 466 around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A check of the license plate revealed the registration expired on Sept. 12.
The deputy subsequently stopped Murillo near County Road 466. The report noted she had been driving a different vehicle about 30 minutes prior to this, at which time he told her that her driving privileges were currently suspended. He also stated she would be committing a traffic violation if she continued to drive.
A check of her driving status confirmed her license had been suspended as of Aug. 11 for financial responsibility. She had been notified of this on July 25, the report said…
