VENICE, Fla. — Police say a reported threat at the Jewish Congregation of Venice was determined to be a “hoax.”
Just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, the Venice Police Department confirmed it was at the scene on North Auburn Road with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and Venice Fire Rescue.
According to Venice police, the Jewish Congregation received phone calls threatening to “kill everyone.” In a 1:30 p.m. update, the police department said they were “swatting” calls…
