SARASOTA — After months of negotiations, the Sarasota County Commission officially tied the bow on a contract with the Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department.
In late 2024, the county announced the expansion into much of the Nokomis area, and following months of meetings, came to an agreement for operations and funding.
