SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A countywide burn ban is now in effect as dry conditions continue to raise wildfire concerns.
The ban comes in place when the Keetch-Byram Drought Index (KBDI) meets or exceeds 500. It will remain in place until it falls below 500 for seven consecutive days.
