Eight people were recently injured after three buses crashed in Florida following a band competition. Among those injured was a 2-year-old child, who reportedly needed to be airlifted in critical condition. In addition, six students were also said to have been injured by the recent crash.
An SUV Crashing Into A Bus Led To A Chain Reaction
On the evening of October 11, around 150 students from Fort Pierce Central High School were traveling across four buses in Florida. They were reportedly returning home from a band competition.
Things took a turn for the worse in Manatee County, when three of the buses stopped in a line after a Ford SUV collided with the rear of the last bus. The crash caused a chain reaction, causing each of the buses to hit the bus in front of it.
According to WPBF, which shared information from a Florida Highway Patrol news release, after the buses collided, the SUV also reportedly caught on fire. Six students had to be transferred to local hospitals, having suffered from minor injuries.
The following Sunday, five of the six students have since been released. At the time, one student was said to be remaining at the hospital for observation…
