Local restaurants pitching in to help people as SNAP benefits go into limbo

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – With the arrival of the fifth week of the government shutdown, Suncoast residents are beginning to feel the effects first-hand.

And while food assistance programs like SNAP are being shut down, there’s room for local restaurants to step in and help.
