A Siesta Key Irish pub has announced it is relocating, taking over the former space of another Sarasota County restaurant and bar.
The Shebeen Irish Pub & Kitchen, currently located at 6641 Midnight Pass Road adjacent to Big Water Fish Market, will move to the former Sarasota Brewing Company building, according to a post on The Shebeen’s Facebook page. Sarasota Brewing Company’s location, at 6607 Gateway Ave. in Gulf Gate, closed in 2022 after suffering a fire and ultimately did not reopen.
“We’ve had a great run on Siesta Key but, thanks to you all, we’ve outgrown our space,” another Facebook post from The Shebeen read. “We’ve finally secured our new location and, following renovations, expect to be ready shortly after the new year. We hope to see you at our present location until the end of the year…cheers!”…
