Sarasota Little League treasurer charged with grand theft of over $100,000

SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — The former treasurer of the Sarasota Little League Baseball Association was arrested on Friday and charged with larceny grand theft, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The former Little League treasurer, Ahnaysa Turner, 35, is accused of stealing money from the league.

Turner was a member of the association’s Executive Board and was named treasurer in September 2022, a role that made her the sole authorized member controlling all financial obligations and payments for the organization.
