Florida Highway Patrol said a 3-year-old child was hit in the parking lot of a Walmart in Englewood Tuesday night.
FHP said a mother was putting her infant into her car parked next to a Jeep when the toddler walked in front of the Jeep. FHP said the Jeep pulled forward and to the right and hit the child.
The 3-year-old was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital.
