A St. Petersburg man is facing serious charges following an incident over the weekend that left two pet birds dead. According to a report by WTSP, 39-year-old Bradley Walters was arrested and charged with animal cruelty and resisting an officer with violence.
The incident occurred after 9 p.m. Saturday on 21st Street South, where Walters, reportedly “tortured” and killed his pet birds. An affidavit obtained by FOX 13 News suggests that Walters admitted to grabbing one bird from the air before squeezing, and shaking it until it died. Authorities say he admitted to doing the same to a second bird and then dismembered it.
