SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – On June 20, what was supposed to be a routine fishing trip turned into an alleged attempt on a woman’s life.
The woman, identified in court filings as the wife of 60-year-old Douglas Naeher, said he tried to abandon her in the water roughly 33 miles offshore of Bean Point at Anna Maria Island.
Naeher was arrested the day after the incident and remains in custody as he faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and domestic battery…
