A Sarasota man tied to the theft of a 1977 Porsche from the former Sarasota Classic Car Museum in June 2023 was arrested again after he removed his court-issued ankle monitor, Sarasota police say.
Daniel Boyce, 38, of Sarasota, was initially arrested in July 2023 in connection to the burglary of the former Sarasota Classic Car Museum at 5500 N. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota on June 14, 2023. Boyce was alleged to have stolen a brown 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo, valued at $250,000.
The car, along with a fraudulently obtained title and tag, was later recovered by Sarasota detectives with the assistance from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office and Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, according to the Sarasota Police Department news release…
