ENGLEWOOD — Sarasota County Commissioners have set a meeting to discuss potential land use changes that will allow development of the Winchester Ranch planned community off River Road between Englewood and North Port.
The meeting is set for 9 a.m. Jan. 27 at the Robert L. Anderson building, 4000 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice.
Developers of Wellen Park are requesting the change in land use designation from rural to moderate density for most of the 3,000-acre property, which is right now in unincorporated Sarasota County…
