Texas man convicted of 4th DUI in Sarasota, now faces potential prison time

SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Texas man is facing up to five years in a Florida prison after being convicted of his fourth DUI.

State Attorney Ed Brodsky said last week that Shawn Conway, 48, was found guilty of felony DUI earlier this month in a Sarasota courthouse.

Back in July 2024, a deputy found Conway slumped over the steering wheel at a Shell Gas Station after the owner called 911 when the store was closing. A press release from the state attorney’s office said he “reeked” of alcohol.
