SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A love for kids and a zest for life marks Margaret Pappa. The 92-year-old Manatee County woman is making an indelible mark on students as a crossing guard.
In a constantly changing world, “Maggie” as the children call her, is just a constant. She’s there the same times during the school week, on the same crosswalk, has on the same fluorescent yellow vest and sign, and exudes the same warmth.
