Since it opened in a Sarasota location made iconic by the Gentile family, patrons have warmly welcomed Johnny Longhots Philly Cheesesteaks in Sarasota.
The restaurant, which sold about 600 sandwiches on its Jan. 16 soft opening, has seen brisk business ever since, as noted on a Jan. 25 Facebook post, thanking patrons for the “love, support, and patience from this amazing community.”
The pace has been so brisk, that owner Michael Panto noted that the shop would close Jan. 26, to work out some behind-the-scenes kinks “so we can deliver the consistency and excellent service you deserve.”…
