Yūgen, the highly anticipated Japanese chef’s counter from the Michelin-awarded team behind Zōtō Sushi, has announced updated details ahead of its opening at University Town Center. Sarasota’s first kaiseki-focused chef’s counter will officially open the week of Valentine’s Day, offering an intimate, reservation-only dining experience rooted in seasonality, technique, and Japanese tradition.
Located at 190 N. Cattlemen Road, adjacent to Zōtō Sushi, Yūgen is a 10-seat hidden chef’s counter that will operate Wednesday through Sunday, with two seatings each evening.
