MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Due to the upcoming full moon higher-than-normal tides are expected throughout Manatee County on Friday and Saturday.
The Manatee County Public Safety Department reports that water levels could reach above two feet.
A cold front is also expected to move through the area, bringing gusty winds on Saturday.
Significant flooding is not expected but minor tidal flooding may occur in low-lying coastal areas. Among those affected are:
- Anna Maria Island
- Longboat Key
- Bradenton Riverfront
- Cortez Village
- Palmetto Riverfront
- Palmetto Point
- Rubonia
- Terra Ceia Island
