SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – County officials say they are receiving threatening messages and harassment related to a proposed cruise terminal, with some staff members’ children being targeted at school.
Courtney De Pol, deputy county administrator, said the county appreciates public input on the proposed cruise port near the Terra Ceia area but noted that comments are becoming more aggressive.
“We appreciate all of the input that we have received and our county commissioners are taking them very seriously and they are reading each and every one,” De Pol said. “That being said we are noticing that the public comment that we are receiving are becoming more aggressive.”…
