VENICE — Neither the audience nor the Sarasota County Planning Commission liked D.R. Horton Inc.’s plans that were presented Wednesday for a 46-unit townhome development in Nokomis.
The company was seeking a small-scale comprehensive plan amendment and rezoning petition for two parcels — 2301 South Tamiami Trail, Osprey, and 101 E. First St., Nokomis — that are owned by George Carden LLC, according to property appraiser records.
