VENICE — Applications that would open the door to development of property owned by media company iHeart + Entertainment Inc. will go to the City Council with the Planning Commission’s recommendation of approval.
As P3 LAF Chalets of Venice LP, on Tuesday the company was seeking recommendations to annex 10 acres of its 20-acre parcel at 282 N. Auburn Road that’s the former home of Venice-based radio stations; change the future land-use designation from Sarasota County Moderate-Use Residential to Venice Mixed-Use Residential; and rezone the land from county Open-Use Estate to Venice Planned Unit Development.
The Council approved a pre-annexation agreement last week. If it also accepts the Planning Commission’s recommendation, P3 LAF Chalets of Venice LP will move forward to develop Chalets of Venice, a 43-lot single-family community…
