SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Three fatal crashes occurred on Suncoast roads Wednesday, bringing the year’s total deadly crashes in the region to 10, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The first fatality happened at 4:05 a.m. on Saracen Square Boulevard, where a driver entered the median and hit a tree before the car burst into flames.
The second crash occurred on I-75 southbound by Clark Road, killing one pedestrian and causing major traffic delays.
