Cold case breakthrough: Arrest made in 1999 Sarasota murder

SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA)— A 55-year-old man is now behind bars in connection with a murder that went unsolved for more than two decades, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said.

Investigators arrested Kevin Holloway in the 1999 killing of Esco Hunter Jr.

Authorities said Holloway was already in custody on an unrelated arrest when he was served with new charges, including second-degree murder, arson, and tampering with evidence. He is currently being held without bond.
