The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a man accused of killing Esco Hunter Jr. in 1999. His van was found on fire and his body was discovered the next day.
“It is our agency’s hope that this development brings a measure of comfort and long-awaited justice to Esco Hunter’s family,” Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt Hoffman said.
At least 25 cases involving murder or people who went missing under suspicious circumstances have gone cold. The oldest dates as far back as 1959…
