SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — For many families, the reality of aging or dementia can feel overwhelming. At Townsquare University Parkway, staff said they’re working to change that, with support, community, and a new effort to connect members with local businesses.
From the moment you walk inside, the day is filled with music, activities, and familiar moments designed to keep seniors engaged and safe. The adult day center serves people living with memory loss, Parkinson’s disease, and other progressive conditions.
“Our goal is to keep them home longer, but give them the support and the resources to do it successfully,” said Skyler Betts with Townsquare. “So much of the aging journey is reactive, and we try to change that.”…
