Judge rules Thomas Matejcek competent to stand trial in double-murder case

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – A Bradenton man accused of killing his mother and her boyfriend in 2023 has been ruled competent to stand trial.

Two doctors have offered opinions that Thomas Matejcek, who is facing two counts of first-degree murder, is competent.
