TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Palmetto man was charged with the illegal disposal of a body on Thursday, according to a release from the Department of Justice.
The indictment said that 36-year-old Matthew Edward Zoladz has been charged with violation of the Marine Protection Research and Sanctuaries Act and a violation of the Act to Prevent Pollution from Ships.
The indictment stems from an incident that occurred on Dec. 8, 2022, when Zoladz is accused of illegally dumping the body of a victim into ocean waters without notifying the United States Environmental Protection Agency Regional Administrator beforehand…
