Dutch Bros Plots First Manatee County Drive Thru in Bradenton

Bradenton is set to get a fresh jolt of caffeine. Dutch Bros is planning its first Manatee County shop in the city, with a single-lane, drive-thru focused coffee stand slated for the new SeaFlower Village Center on Cortez Road West. The stand will join a Publix-anchored lineup at the center. Local openings are expected to roll out alongside the broader buildout of the project, but the company has not yet announced a specific grand opening date.

As reported by Tampa Bay Business Journal, the Bradenton shop will mark Dutch Bros’ first entry into Manatee County. Developers CASTO and Redstone included Dutch Bros on the tenant roster when CASTO announced the SeaFlower Village Center.

County building pre-applications identify 2108 Cortez Road W as the planned site and show a roughly 1,000-square-foot store with a dual drive-thru and about 13 parking spaces, as reported by Yahoo News. The planned spot is near Smuggler’s Cove Adventure Golf and the Home Depot-anchored plaza on the north side of Cortez Road West. That compact footprint is consistent with Dutch Bros’ drive-thru-first format, according to Wikipedia.

SeaFlower Village Center, Tenants and Timeline

CASTO lists Dutch Bros alongside national chains such as Whataburger, Potbelly and Playa Bowls, and says the first phase will include roughly 140,000 square feet of retail and hundreds of apartments. Redstone confirmed construction began in September and set a target completion for late 2026, which would be the earliest window for tenant openings.

What to Expect and Traffic Concerns

Developers are pitching SeaFlower as a neighborhood hub for Bradenton’s fast-growing west side, promising new jobs and added shopping options for nearby residents. At the same time, drive-thru projects have been a hot topic in the city. A recent council approval for a separate drive-thru near Manatee Avenue and U.S. 301 highlighted traffic and neighborhood-fit worries, as reported by Yahoo News, underscoring the kind of scrutiny the Dutch Bros plan may face locally…
