SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Fashion designer Sigrid Olsen, once among the most recognized names in the U.S. fashion industry, launched a new lifestyle brand after rebuilding her career.
Olsen operated more than 50 company-owned stores across the United States and Canada. The 2008 downturn ended that chapter. She has since reclaimed her label from corporate ownership after more than 40 years in the fashion industry and launched a new company in 2020 without outside funding.
New brand rooted in Florida and wellness
Olsen said her new brand draws on the natural environment of the Florida Suncoast and her personal wellness practice. The line features resort apparel with prints made from hand-carved stamps and original embroideries. Products are sold through small boutiques and on her website, sigridolsen.com
