I was appalled that the Herald-Tribune published the recent guest column by Sarasota County Tax Collector Mike Moran (“Sarasota County’s tax office was a mess. We’ve cleaned it up,” Feb. 28).
Moran has been tax collector for slightly more than one year.
I don’t understand why he feels it is important to downgrade a well-respected public servant – former Sarasota County Tax Collector Barbara Ford-Coates – who dedicated her life to serving the community…
