‘They didn’t give him a chance’: Brother of man shot, killed by Bradenton police calls for answers

BRADENTON, Fla. — A narcotics search warrant turned deadly Tuesday morning when a SWAT officer shot and killed a man inside a Bradenton duplex, according to police.

The man’s family says they are struggling to understand why the encounter ended in gunfire.

The shooting happened around 9:40 a.m. near the corner of 5th Street West and Martin Luther King Avenue West, where Bradenton police say officers were serving a high-risk search warrant as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation…
