A popular downtown Sarasota pizza restaurant has closed after nearly 30 years, but it won’t stay dark for long — another Italian restaurant is set to take over the space.
Bravo’s Pizza & Italian Eatery, at 1995 Main St. next to the Regal Hollywood movie theater, has shuttered, according to a note posted in the restaurant’s window and attributed to owner Antonio Giacinto. The restaurant on upper Main Street had been open since 1998, according to its website.
“Dear Bravo guests: It has been my pleasure to serve you for the past 30 years, and appreciate your support,” the note read. “It is time for me to enjoy my golden years. Thank you for your understanding. New things are coming.”…
