SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Firefighters with the Sarasota County Fire Department rescued one person and three cats from an apartment fire.
On April 1, crews responded around 3:15 p.m. to a fire in the 5800 block of Hollywood Boulevard, where they found an active fire in a first-floor unit. During a search of the apartment, firefighters located a resident in a bedroom and quickly brought the person outside to safety.
They were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Three cats were also rescued from the apartment and were taken to a nearby veterinary clinic…
