A $12 million road funding agreement tied to the 1,740-acre Crosswind Ranch development in Parrish is set for a vote Thursday, as Manatee County commissioners consider a plan requiring road improvements to support a 3,658-home residential project.
The proposed local development agreement would require Crosswind Ranch Development Corporation to design and build major road improvements and dedicate required right-of-way as the project moves forward. In return, the developer would receive credits against transportation impact fees.
Under the agreement, the developer would complete roadway and intersection improvements along State Road 62, Spencer Parrish Road and Ranch Oak Parkway. The work is estimated at about $9.86 million, along with roughly $2.14 million in right-of-way value.
The improvements would be phased with development and include turn lanes, roadway expansions and new connections tied to the project.
