SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Senior Friendship Centers is spotlighting its Friendship at Home program during National Volunteer Week, an initiative that brings connection, care and support to seniors who cannot easily leave their homes.
The program provides regular human connection through visits, phone calls and shared activities for homebound seniors. Volunteers and staff help identify challenges like food insecurity, lack of basic supplies or safety concerns, connecting seniors to help before situations become crises.
