Commercial truck drivers and daily commuters traveling the U.S. 41 corridor have a massive new refueling option in Manatee County following the under-the-radar arrival of a sprawling RaceTrac travel center.
Located at 9608 U.S. 41 in Palmetto, the new facility recently opened its doors, bringing a significant infrastructure boost to the area. The station began operations without the usual fanfare; the location is so new that it has not yet populated on the company’s official online store locator or digital mapping services like Google Maps.
The modern travel center completely transforms the property, which was formerly home to Los Primos Country Deli. Unlike the new facility, the locally familiar, Spanish-themed convenience store did not sell fuel.
